Primary Purpose of Position

The Regional Sales Specialist is a field based position where the Specialist acts as an ambassador for Osiris Therapeutics Inc and its products. The Specialist will advise, demonstrate and guide clientele to products that suit their patient needs. (S)He provides information related to quality standards and compliance within the product offering and attains contracts and sales targets notably through exceptional knowledge and customer service.

Principal Responsibilities

 Establish and maintain effective relationships with customers including surgeons, nurses and operating room staff.
 Develop and implement sales strategies with focus at the local and regional levels to defend and expand product portfolio.
 Maintain and increase label usage of Osiris products through presence in the surgical suite, in-servicing and educational presentations.
 Monitor product sales and work closely with Marketing, Customer Service and Field Operations to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
 Provide feedback to immediate Regional Business Director, Customer Service and marketing personnel for the development of marketing policy, recommended product and product line revisions as well as pricing changes.
 Attend regional and local Surgical Conferences.
 Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
 Proven track record of selling biopharmaceuticals and devices
 Proven technical sales experience acquired within a pharmaceutical environment
 Consulting and/or consulting sales background
 Thorough understanding of trends in the biotechnology and bio-manufacturing market
 Ability to interact and build high level relationship with customers
PERSONAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
 Ability to work in intense, fast paced, matrixed, multinational work environment
 Strong oral and written communication skills
 Ability to network internally with a good knowledge of a global organization
 Customer focused, strong communicator
 Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative and with limited supervision
 Proactive and decisive personality

 This is a Field based position

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to travel 50% plus, domestic. Ability to lift / maneuver 20+ lbs. **Must have a clean-valid driver’s license.
We require that you live in one of the following areas and have current relationships with Doctors, Surgeons and Hospitals in any of the following areas : San Antonio, San Francisco Bay Area, Central Valley, CA, Pheonix, Knoxville, Minnesota or Jacksonville. (this is a remote/field position)
