  • Primary Purpose of Position

    The Research Associate- is responsible for working with the team to develop biological products. The associate will work with other members of the team to design pilot processes that ensure the safety and efficacy of the products. In addition, the associate will play an integral role in the design and characterization of the new products.

    Principal Responsibilities

    The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

     

    • Investigate new areas with unmet medical needs to determine potential new products.
    • Design pilot processes for new products.
    • Develop and implement protocols to characterize new biological products.
    • Write study protocols and reports for completed studies.
    • Develop processes in collaboration with the Logistics group for the ordering, procurement, and management of all raw materials.
    • Participate in the development of effective working relationships with members of other groups involved in the development process.
    • Work with contract research organizations to conduct experimental studies.
    • Maintain and monitor equipment in the laboratory.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a scientific related discipline.
    • Previous working experience in a biological laboratory.
    • Knowledge of aseptic techniques and standard laboratory practices
    • Must be well-organized and detail-oriented, with meticulous record keeping and documentation.
    • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work productively in a team environment.
    • Ability to adapt to changing project priorities and timelines.
    • Ability to multi-task and to work on two projects simultaneously.

     

    PREFERRED:

    • .Experience with cell culture is a plus.
