  • Primary Purpose of Position

    The individual filling this position will directly participate in the identification and evaluation of potential new injury and disease targets cell  therapy. The overall responsibility of Osiris’ discovery team is to expand the Company’s cellular therapy product pipeline to new indications and applications in diverse areas of medicine.


    Principal Responsibilities

    The specific duties and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

    • Review and assimilate current scientific literature.
    • Thorough evaluation of existing information relevant to potential new  therapy targets.
    • Critical analysis of potential markets for Osiris’ cellular therapies.
    • Understand current state-of-the art and competitive treatments
    • Design and execution of “proof of concept” studies for novel cell based therapies
    • Design and execution of preclinical studies to explore the safety and efficacy of cell therapies in  disease targets.
    • Capture of intellectual property.
    • Participation in initial clinical trial design.
    • Preparation of INDs and other documentations
    • Achieve goals according to corporate milestones
    • Collaborative interaction with industrial, academic, and medical professionals.


    • Ph.D. degree.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively and efficiently in a fast paced, dynamic team environment.
    • Excellent oral and written communications.
    • Be able to coordinate and lead work of junior personnel
    • Professional interaction with individuals outside of the Company.



    • Familiarity with translational research.
    • Familiarity with cellular therapy.
    • Previous experience working in a product development position
