  • Primary Purpose of Position

    The Logistics Associate is responsible for receiving and or shipping all materials including but not limited to: cGMP raw materials, NON-cGMP raw materials, Common Supply, maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) supplies, Work-in-Process (WIP), and Finished Goods Inventory (FGI).

    Principal Responsibilities

    Responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

    Receiving 

    • Sign for packages.
    • Start the process for receiving cGMP material into the Osiris inventory system.
    • Reconcile tissue received to QAD purchase orders.
    • Perform incoming inspection of tissue receipt for damage.
    • Investigate receipt inquiries from Research, Development, Materials and Operations.
    • Ensure proper storage and distribution of received materials under the guidance and direction of departmental SOP’s/specifications.
    • Stage incoming raw materials for further processing.
    • Create and correctly enters receipts into the Inventory Management System.
    • Forward receiving paperwork to A/P for payment processing.
    • Maintain physical file of open tissue purchase orders at receiving desk.
    • Act as liaison for the disposition of rejected tissues. Co-ordinate communication and routes associated documentation.

    Shipping

    • Prepare outbound shipments.
    • Assist in shipping finished product per departmental SOP’s.
    • Prepare all necessary shipping vessels for product shipments.
    • Maintain Inventory accuracy by performing shipment updates to the inventory document of record for FGDS when shipped.

    Inventory control support

    • Assist in the labeling of quarantined and released items.
    • Relocate staged and quarantined materials to the appropriate areas, as directed.
    • Assist in stocking common supply area when necessary, as directed.
    • Maintain inventory accuracy by performing updates to all documents of record, when assisting the Inventory Control Specialist.
    • Perform and assist in performing physical inventories as required


     

    Miscellaneous tasks

    • Perform housekeeping as required.
    • Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on vapor shippers as required.
    • Assist in changing out liquid nitrogen tanks as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    Required

    • High School diploma or equivalent.
    • Working knowledge of MS Word and Outlook
    • Working knowledge of FEDEX, UPS and other online systems used in shipping processes.
    • Ability to work overtime as needed.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills to initiate and retrieve tracking information from carrier.
    • High energy.
    • Manual dexterity.
    • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.

     

    Preferred

    • Shipping and receiving experience
